2 even teams who were both shite.

Ben Arfa was the only real flair today.

I know it's only been 2 home games so far, but it's really pissing me off watching the rest of our midfield & attackers standing about & watching Delph taking on about 3 or 4 players without any of them thinking about moving/getting in space to support him.

Lose at Norwich and it is going to be a very, very long season.

At home, and you can all laugh if you want, I would give Joe Bennett a game, or a few run outs, on the left of the front 3 and shift Gabby to the right, with the purpose of getting the ball into the box. I genuinely think he has the talent to make things happen.

That is what makes it so utterly infuriating; that Newcastle are a load of utter, utter fucking shite as well.

We really do need to win that game. Bennett offers a lot down the left and he was really improving towards the end of last season.

I am not bothered about Norwich. I just want PL to have a very good response to Newcastle -type moves in training.
Watching MOTD, every promising move started from Lowton. Cannot believe posts trashing him. Well done to Benteke as well.

Brad also seemed immense.

If you listened to Pardew's post match interview you would think that it would be a good idea to put money on them winning the title.* He didn't fool me though because I was at the game.

*And double it up by betting on Ben Arfa winning the Ballon d 'Or.

I'm quite bothered about Norwich, since we need a result there. MOTD might have presented Lowton in a different light, he had a very very poor game.

Missed a big trick not getting Barry back for a season. Our loss is Everton's gain as his experience, ability to keep possession and leadership skills would have made such as difference to our shitty midfield. Barry or KEA?
We haven't got him so what's the point?
We have the guys in the squad. They can do it, just a matter of time and training.
Barry was inept once, and I remember he had to learn his job!

But what they do have is a player like Ben Arfa, who is very obviously the sort of player we need. It doesn't have to be a naturally wide creative player, but a creative player of some sort.

Ok, i wasn't at the game but i did watch the game. Pardew has every right to be pleased, we are a decent-ish team, and they came down and played pretty well and deserved their victory. I would have been disappointed with a draw at kickoff, but have no complaints. It could have been more as well if we are honest, we looked vulnerable every time they attacked.

Didn't look that bad, but there was editing.
Or sound bad, according to the radio, when I was trying to follow. Lowton was in there on the comments.
Would quite like us to win against Norwich!

how weimann stayed on ??  our No 8 - awful .  Lowton was shocking . Luna could not even take a throw in and I think Newcastle scored more or less after that .

i saw one Villa player let the ball go out for a throw in , when it was better to whip a cross in .

Could not pass the ball , we must have kicked it out 6 times off the pitch  , no players showing , dreadful mistakes , no cutting edge

It was worse than England . Felt like I was watching Stoke .

I noticed Gareth Barry was excellent . f**k we needed that experience

I find it hard to understand people who say that Newcastle were rubbish. They looked a bit out of sorts after we equalised but apart from that they controlled the game and had the key man in Ben Arfa.

Yes, they have some very good players who looked like a team today. This I think was due to them gaining confidence from a good start and an early goal. Lambert is right about us needing to start better however obvious that sounds.

The Bradford Revisited forward line did my crust in.

Agree with everyone that Delph played well, disagree with nearly everyone about Vlaar, thought he played quite well.

Tonev and Sylla next week please PL.
