You wonder if they've looked at Helenius and don't fancy him now? Seems direct competition for him rather than Benteke

I doubt it , what ive seen of helenius has looked promising  - he is not the same kind of player as benteke .

Helenius and Kozak along with the current 3 strikers give us options .

In the massive 30 minutes of competitive football he's played for us i'm satisfied with what i've seen of The Gladiator.

Agree especially as we start with 3 in each game

Bit of a red herring that, don't you think? We start with one Big Striker and two pacey options to play just off on either side, more like inside-forwards than strikers. Hardly the position you'd expect to find Helenius or Kozak.

Why are we talking about Kozac on the Bannan thread?

Well not having seen Kozak I suspect it is more of a direct ball option in the event we are chasing a game and go to 4-4-2 along with having competition for Helenius in the event Benteke is injured or suspended.

So as Eastie summised gives us options

RE Bannan, for all the talk of him being greedy by rejecting a move to Blackburn by waiting around a lot longer he's got a move to a (for now) premiership club, probably a bit more money and we've got more money for him if the purported fees around either move were accurate. He also avoided a perennial crisis club lead by a bunch of yampy chicken farmers. Everyone's a winner!

Like others, I still think there's a player in him. A move will do him good.

Has he been presented to the press holding up a nippers Palace shirt (with a number used on the shorts on the back) yet?
