What has happened to the little snake - has he even been involved with Citeh this season?  Apparently he is out injured again.  What price him going on loan in January never to be seen again.

ok ready to wash mouth out , but he would be ideal in our midfield now

Perhaps Brucie can arrange a loan deal? You know, clean slate and all that.....

Yeah, let's get him back to demean himself so we can cheer him to the rafters. Who needs principles anyway?

my eldest lad is 28 now
I was chatting to him this morning and we mentioned Delph, he said rightly or wrongly that he would be in the top 5 of midfielders he has seen at VP,

I said although I did like him as a player when at Villa, he probably wouldn't get into my top 30/40 such is the difference between e generations

He only manages the top 4 in the Lerner era Behind Barry, Petrov and Milner.

Absolutely. Give it 10 years and I'll probably forget he even played for us. Turncoat little shit.

Not a chance in hell Pep would rate the snake. Expect him to go the way of Benteke and end up somewhere like Palace. If he's lucky.

The only person who couldn't see he was being signed because he was a U.K. academy graduate and therefore a "quota" signing was him - unless he just thought f@€k it I'll take the money (?)

Delph is about as near to the City first team as myself and long may that continue on both parts.

Of course he knew-He turned them down at least once previously.  He admitted afterwards that he'd joined for the money as his Mrs had just had a baby and he wanted the best for her.  I've no issue with that-I'd tell my son to do the same in his shoes.  My problem is the way he lorded it after signing the new contract, whilst all the time knowing that a paltry £8 million could buy it out.

He's well liked but delph is a better player than Petrov. I think it shows a paucity of quality of midfielders that we have had that Petrov would be in our top 3 midfielders over the last 10 years or so.

I disagree, over the course of their time with us Petrov was much more influential.  Delph had 2-2 1/2 good seasons after 3-4 years of injuries and poor form.  By the end he was on a similar level to Petrov but the latter gave us the best part of 6 seasons and for most of that time was a key contributor to us being a top half team.

Much as I like Stan i'd take Delph as a player if it was between the two.

If we're cheering Gabby's return, we may as well welcome Delph with open arms. Is Peter Sutcliffe match fit?

No, but Fred West could be in with a chance.

I think his energy would do well in Leicester city midfield to replace money grabbing kante for a touch of irony
