Say 'catch it' behind the door really quickly over and and over, 'it's' really really funny.

for me Pat is like  the vast majority of BBC reporters/presenters/whatever ; hubristic, pompous self absorbed arsewipes - there, I've said it!

Surely a self absorbing arsewipe is what you want and not one that just spreads it around?

yeah but then it's just a slightly neater way of saying someone's full of shit, which definitely applies to mcnulty.

That reminds me of the Izal toilet rolls we had when I was in junior school. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel....

School? - you were lucky: my old man used to insist we used them at home!
A ring-stinger, and hopeless for blasting clingons!

We agree on most things Mr U. I met Pat Murphy once at VP and in conversation stupidly mentioned that I was ghost writing a biography for a well known jockey.  I could have forgiven him for taking the piss out of me but he took cheap shots at the subject of my work just to get laughs out of the arse lickers around him. Not my cup of journalistic tea by a long way.

My parents had friends who I used to think were really posh - no children, lived in Streetly - I was amazed when I went to the loo one day to find that they used Izal at home.

Izal is like a snow plough- doesn't get rid of the problem but just shifts it over to the side. Apologies if I have caused any unpleasant mental images.

As unpleasant a memo as it is, I remember when Izal would have been a luxury.  Being taken as a small child to the communal toilets at the end of back-to-back terrace where the toiletry of choice was: cut into squares newspapers.
