He looked decent again when coming on for England today.

Saying that so did JonJo.

I think Shelvey is a good player.  He looks gormless but has benefitted from leaving a big club to play regular football.

Last season I thought he was a crucial player for us to keep.

I know it is only early days, but I've barely given the c*** a thought since the season started.

See this, too, interesting:

http://metro.co.uk/2015/09/05/stats-show-that-new-aston-villa-recruit-idrissa-gueye-is-already-a-better-player-than-fabian-delph-5376904/

it's really a case of when we were utterly gash it's easier for the better players to stand out. Now that collectively we are stronger it's a positive sign that players like Gueye go about their business very efficiently. Delphi is a good player, but I think we had him on a pedestal for very obvious reasons as we desperately clung to anything that gave us hope.

Innit.

The rest of the squad was so patchy (and that's being charitable) that he stood out even more than he would have (and you're right, he is a good player). Anyway, fuck him he's gone now.

Is there an injured snake emoji to post on his Twitter feed?

Hahaha Delph lasts about 12 seconds for England as his hamstring has gone again. He will have to slither to the physio now.

After that incredibly immature and twattish snakes on a plane photograph, never has an injury been so deserved. Said it before, that it's moments like this that almost make me believe there is a higher power.

Be interesting to see how much England time he gets this week.

Any lottery numbers, Duncan?
