I cant believe we are debating such trivial matters when its not even 24 hours since Cilla left us

Concerned about an ex Villa player ?

And his behaviour ?

Wish I'd scrolled down before clicking on that link, I was looking for the involvement of an ex Villa player.

May I respectfully suggest that many people come on here to escape from a lot of the miseries that confront them in their everyday lives?

Indeed. Which suggests we're not very good at escaping from things ;-)

Too true, I've still got Mrs S chirping down my ear no matter what room I go into.

Cilla Black was a national treasure, whereas Delph is just a gold digger

Shed Seven will reform next year, release a 20th anniversary version of Digging For Gold in tribute to Delph.

I must admit to having been surprised by people looking to defend Delph's actions over the last few weeks.

I don't think anyone is getting irritable at where he went, it is the manner of the departure.

Football fans can be tribal but, in the cold light of day, will show some understanding for someone else's position. It is being lied to we can't stomach.

A melodramatic way to describe it follows but you get my gist.

I would liken it to a relationship breaking up. Whilst you would still be upset to be binned by a partner you really liked, a bit of honesty about means you would get over it far quicker.

It is a lot harder to take if they have been stringing you along for months, particularly if it was just a week before they canned you that they were talking about a long term relationship.

I don't buy hugely into footballers as role models but they do need to be careful about playing with fans emotions.

To continue the analogy from above, it is why us scorned lovers laughed at him breaking his banjo string on his first night with the new squeeze.

You missed the one night stand with remorseful apology.

Sorry, wrong serpent family.

What we're dealing with has the scientific name Elaphe obsoleta quadrivittata, looks like this

And goes by one of two common names
1. Chicken snake
Or
2. Yellow rat snake.
