I'd rather we didn't even discuss the scroat. Forget him, he's history.

Why do people keep going on about money?  Even with your claret bespectacled one eye can you not think of other reasons why an ambitious footballer would rather play for a champions leage qualified, premier league title contender rather than a perennially average relegation fighter?

Allow me:

[/b]integrity
ɪnˈtɛɡrɪti/
noun
1.
the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.
"a gentleman of complete integrity"
synonyms:   honesty, uprightness, probity, rectitude, honour, honourableness, upstandingness, good character, principle(s), ethics, morals, righteousness, morality, nobility, high-mindedness, right-mindedness, noble-mindedness, virtue, decency, fairness, scrupulousness, sincerity, truthfulness, trustworthiness
"I never doubted his integrity"

Whilst a nice quote it has nothing to do with the question does it?

No one would begrudge a player leaving to win things...but to one week claim to love the club then next leave.... That's integrity gone wrong

But it does though.  If he hadn't done his first u-turn and pledged his future to Villa and couldn't wait until the season started to lead out this wonderful club then, perhaps I would have no trouble in agreeing with you, but he didn't, he lied through his teeth.  He did nothing for footballing reasons he did it all for money and nothing will convince me differently.

Wasn't the 3-2 a 5:30 kick off.  It's the one tv time I don't mind

I'm fully over Delph and his wanky ways now.  He is a total irrelevance to me, as he should everyone else.

Oh, okay. Just saw it on SSN, could have been a mis-print on yellow ticker.

SSN had it as 1:30pm on the ticker and 5:30pm on the list so not sure which is correct. We also have Spurs at 8pm Monday 2nd November but no games in October.

edit: the SSN graphic is actually poorly done and confusing...just checked back and Man City is 1:30pm Sunday 8th November.

Dave - the point was why do people keep saying it's just about money.  You honestly don't think the footballing opportunity played a part?

Some people are as deluded as the Leicester fans on Fox talk.

Bloody Sky. The last thing I'll want when I'm just about to tuck into my Sunday lunch will be to see Delph slither along the cinder track, shed a skin and then take his perch on the subs bench.

but if that's all it was he'd have gone straight away.  Nothing I've seen since suggests the u-turn was anything other than a negotiating tactic.  It may be that he was negotiating something other than a higher wage/fee but I can understand why that's the prime suspect.
