With all City's money, I think they may struggle to get into the top 4 this season,

Chelsea and Arsenal look stronger to me, and the other Manchester have made the better signings so far, so the way I see it it's a 50/50 between Liverpool and City
Liverpool with Milner and Benteke if they settle in could be better this season

City also at times look disinterested, it's all a bit we have done it before and really don't look up for it in some games, I can see them struggling a bit

I see that with Citeh John, they lack that killer edge. I think, and indeed hope, it's because deep down they all know they dropped their trousers for Mammon.

What we need is a Snopes for football players

What we need is the reintroduction of capital punishment for football players.
You would love that. Ten years of appeals from both sides filling the legal profession's coffers before sole's are hanging in free air!

Is he still plastered all over the club shops in the new kit?
He's still promoting ST sales on the OS

As in:

"Guarantee your seat on 7th November for the biggest and loudest slagging of an ex-player since Bosnich with a season Ticket"?

Greg Nash is still boycotting all things Villa related until Ellis has sold up.

At the end of the day what could the club do. The power is with the players and their advisors. The club are not dealing with loyal employees  so they will always be on a hiding to nothing. Football became like the 'city' a long time ago and will continue to be like that for the foreseeable  future. The only people that could realistically change it are the fans but that won't happen because they will always turn up , so the real power is actually in our hands if collectively football fans decided to use it.

The club did all they could do and in the end got £8m for a player they would have got nothing for under normal circumstances.

So Delphs baby ( as far as I know) hasn't been born hence the reason why he didn't fly out to Portugal but he's now on a flight to Australia to meet up with his team mates.

Not really covering himself with glory is he?
Yes that's what I thought when I heard earlier today that  he has left for Australia. Once again a duplicitous wanker.

He was obviously 'advised' not to go on the trip to Portugal and came up with that particular excuse.

So basically a duplicitous wanker then.

Ever since the story broke I've had O Captain ! My Captain !, Walt Whitman's eulogy  to Abraham Lincoln running round my brain.

So with copious apologies to Walt Whitman here's a (very) coarse reworking to an obloquy for the Judas Bastard.

O captain! My Captain! Your treachery is done;
This team had weather'd every test, survival had been won;
A new start was near, the bells I heard, they rang for claret and blue,
While follow eyes the steady call, the money great and tempting:

But O wallet! wallet! wallet!
O the bleeding drops of dignity,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead (to me)
O Captain! My Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag was flown—for you great honour did await;
For you a chance to be a great—
Sold out to all your lies
For you we'll call, we'll bay for blood , your ears they must be burning;

Hear captain! Now just a ******!
We can't believe a word you've said.
It is some dream that on the Holte,
You've fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are full of shit;
The liar does not know his shame, he has no pride nor honour;
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage done for now.
From our hero, the one who said no, now Judas is your name;

Exult, O your bank account, O your cash!
But you,  you're now ours to despise,
Walk to Manchester with your lies,
Enjoy your ill gotten gains.
