This from the official Villa site, short isn't it for the captain?

Aston Villa can confirm that Fabian Delph has exercised the release clause in his contract and will join Manchester City.

We'd like to wish him success in his future career.

I think it's enough considering he he was looking forward to being our captain last week.

One sentence too long for me.

He can fuck off. I really hope he tries a few of his kamikaze balls in front of the back 4 and it costs City points, and he gets dumped onto the bench. Or he flies into a couple of tackles and gets sent off early door in the Champions league. He is a good player, but his game is not top 4 in my opinion. And we can replace him I am certain. And function just as well as a team. Much more concerned about Benteke.

Hutton has only 1 purpose this season. About 4 inches higher than on Long.

It also forgot to mention that he's a c***

Not too bothered to be honest...at Villa he was a big fish in a small pond, now he's a tiny, rich fish trapped in a tide pool next to a beautiful massive ocean full of blue whales...He's morally bankrupt too, the wanker.

Evidently he waivered the loyalty payment in order to sign, those six days will be remembered fondly by us all.

What a twat. Words fail me, almost. As a player maybe he's not such a big loss but it's the two statements he's made about commitment to the club that really fucking STINKS.

We'll just give him the welcome he deserves when he comes back.....Downing is nothing compared to this.

I just hope Sherwood gets the money from his sale and Benteke's when he goes and he spends it wisely.

It will not be Alan Hutton who balances the scales, it will be Clark and he won't even get a card for it.   The Football Gods do not like having the piss taken and Fabian Delph is like the Mansfield girl who bared her tits on the holy mountain.   There will be a day of reckoning.  Mark my words.
