Well I defended him last week as I thought he had largely done us a big favour by signing the new contract.  But it's difficult to comprehend this.

Bet he wishes he'd just gone on a free now.

He's not going to improve Citeh, never been a big fan of his so look forward to him struggling to get in their side and losing his England place before returning to Leeds on loan for the final year of his contract.

How long do you think it will be before Sky have him as a pundit for a Villa game as the "Villa" voice?   If that sounds fanciful it has happened to Dwight Yorke and he did all the Man U badge kissing at VP and he played for away until he got his own way.

They not buying him to improve on field talent..they are buying him to improve their english quota for Champs League.
