I'd imagine its more to do with a ridiculous wage offer.

yup   they save 42 million plus on Pogba . Throw some money towards Delph

Spoke to Lisa Smith just and she said he's left because he was assured Benteke was staying. So he's reneged.....

And he seriously believed the club could guarantee him that Benteke was staying? He must think we are all total f*****g mugs.

That's unlikely.

I'm sure Delph would have spoken directly to Benteke to find that out, rather than to the club.

Sky Sports News have just confirmed it. Shown him leaving the medical and walking into a car.

I think it's unfair to lay blame at the club. The same player has pledged his future to the club not once, but twice in the space of a few months and he's still leaving.

No, still not buying it, its one big dream and I will wake up in a minute with my Dog licking my face replacing Keria Knightley kissing it...

This can't be true. After the statement last weekend about looking forward to captaining this wonderful club etc. it can't be true. I hope it's some high quality mischief making. If this transfer happens it will be very hard to take. It will show up the game we love for what it has become.
