I can take Delph changing his mind, I can just about understand the ridiculous escape clause fee in his new contract. What I can not accept is the bloody timing. We're less than 2 and a half hours before a game and we have this mess.

when I was a ten year old football was the best thing ever

now my ten year old son thinks its just wank .

I sort of understand him . Modern football is the pits and with  having claret and blue blood inside me I still wonder if it's worth even following us anymore.

But of course I do . Future generations I dont know.

sad times .

How can it be a fair playing field when the bully boy tactics of billionaire playthings just trample over the hopes and aspirations of every team except 3 or 4.

The Premier league and Sky football is a joke.

It hasn't improved the England team like it was meant to do.

All it has done is ruin the game for the normal fan.

If this is true he is a shameful and characterless weasel. To say what he said in January and then reinforce it again on Saturday to only then move he would be the biggest turncoat in Villa's history. It would be an utter disgrace.

If only 'they' had listened to the then-England manager, who predicted this very outcome.

Just can't see it not being true now ..

This is far worse than last week , at least then we have contract signing 6 months ago to complain about. Now we have a statement 6 days ago , interviews with Westwood , TS ,Ray commenting about him staying and sold shirts all week with his name on for this to happen...

Some kind of explanation is required from someone ...

If this story is true, then it surely must point to a massive pay rise that he couldn't turn down...wouldn't be surprised if City offered around £150k/week and no one in their right mind would turn that down whether you're on the bench or not.

This. Save me a seat behind the dugout when they come to VP.
