He is not a Judas. We finish fourth bottom and he gets to play for a title challenger. Good luck.

You do realise there's a bit more to it than that, right?

Fabian who?  He will deserve all the abuse that he gets after his post new contract statement. He is everything that is wrong with the modern game of football. F*** the lot of them and f*** Sky who started it all!!

Sounds like a simplistic comment befitting of a 'Nose'.

I'm hardly defending it, simply pointing out we don't know why he's leaving. As it seems hard to grasp, it could be because he's a Judas twat, or there could be something that has made him want to leave.

The reason i'm wondering if it is the latter is because i've seen nothing from Delph before now to suggest he is a shit, and if he intended to leave I really don't see him being the type of person to say what he did as it would obviously massively backfire, as it has. You'd have to be either a right Judas c***, or very very thick to do that video if you fully intended to leave 6 months later, and i'm not convinced Delph is either.

The release fee which is clearly below market value undermines the latter view.

My only gripe if anything is the clubs decision to print those pictures of him pointing at his captain's armband. They must have known three day's ago he was on his way. By the same token, let's applaud the club for getting him to sign that contract.

The only person who's made himself look stupid out of all this is Delph himself. The new kit pictures aside, the club did what they could.

He'll play less, get paid more, chumps league football and have a significantly higher chance of winning something over his contracted time.

Yeah it might not work out but I personally think he'll do well there, it's a good move for him.

Very disappointed, but like Barry before, moving to better things. You get a short career. We have taken lots of aspiring players from clubs beneath us.

Yeah as long as Delph's done ok for himself I can rest easy. Great stuff.

The thing is that's factually correct, but it's ignoring a couple of key components to the story, which is why people are upset.
