Fuck my Christ. What a wanker!

Obviously the low release clause was to ensure a smooth and easy get away whilst returning what we paid for him so the club don't *appear* to be out of pocket, but this really is shit news for the team. I have absolutely no doubt that this news will be soon followed with Benteke joining Liverpool once City stop arsing about and buy Sterling. Those 2 clubs really are truly loathsome, but the club have to take responsibility for this situation having let his contract run down and give Delph the power to negotiate his own exit...that 4 year contract could have been 10 years for all its worth (literally a cheque for £8m).

A team that looked like it could improve with a few quality additions and culling the deadwood is now having its spine ripped out and replaced with players from overseas with no Premier League experience. Not only was Delph showing signs of being a quality integral part of our team, but he was a shoulder for Grealish and motivator for others...thats a big hole to fill in the middle of the park. Sherwood has an unenviable task on his hands now to rebuild this squad and I don't think £40m in sales is going to be enough.

I love this idea that he won't play at City. Is Fernando gonna keep him out of the team? Or Fernandinho? I'm annoyed, but let's be real here, he's a very good player.

The club though, fucking hell. We are run by idiots. The day Lerner sells up to someone with a brain, the better.

Freshly signed contract with an 8m release clause, which frankly was only ever going to mean one thing, and not only do they get him to do this, he does, he says he's proving there is still loyalty in the game, and they show it on the big screens prior to the match.

With an 8m release clause, you don't really have to be a genius to see why they might have opted to underplay this one, not shout it from the rooftops.

This wouldn't have happened on Faulkner's watch.

After last season I've really felt deflated. I've struggled to get back into it, this could be another nail in the coffin, just getting a bit fed up of it all

Well yes.... Otherwise Milner would have stayed.

Same. But I am going to hold off my full bore "why do I bother and sod you Delph" feelings until it actually happens. It may not.

If it's true. IF. Then he's a bigger jobsite than Downing.

If Delph has found out there isn't going to be a takeover which is possible. I don't blame him one little bit  We might find out the truth when he joins City

What a lying, duplicitous toe rag.  Fuck him, and the horse he rode in on.  I hope he rots in their stiffs.

Milner wanted a bigger role in the middle of the pitch, Man City made him a good offer, but he was probably promised things at Liverpool.
