These words will be rammed down his throat by everyone many, many times in the months and years to come.  Gets into the England squad with us, fcukin has two years off injured virtually, then fecks off at the first sign of success.  The seeds of this were sewn by Faulkner for not tieing him down a lot sooner and getting us into this position.  I cannot blame Fox for this, he made the best of a bad situation by getting us anything was an achievement.

I'd honestly rather he'd shuffled off for free instead of coming out with all that loyalty shit only to fuck off anyway.

Unbelievably disappointed in him. I honestly thought better of him.

And, just to prove their idiocy, this is what they've just tweeted all of three minutes ago.

I shit you not.

Can't believe that the fee is so low with only half a season into a new contract. Either way though he is no better than H0dge imo.

That insult is saved for only disrespectful twatbags as such.

To be fair it is a simple air brush job needed isn't it.  They will just change the direction and finger to a middle one sticking up at the camera.

Well if he is going then let's hope that Gueye can adequately replace him, once the work permit comes in. Extremely disappointing but I have nothing against the guy and I hope he actually gets plenty of game time rather than bench warming. If he sits on their bench for the next four years it's just a waste.

Can we really expect players like Delph or Benteke to hunker down for yet another tedious relegation battle? He's only doing what the vast majority of players would do in his position. If this were any other 'product' I'd be looking to switch as well, but I can't because I'm a fan and I'm stuck with this shit come what may. Which is precisely why clubs, players and the whole game can take the piss out of fans the way they do.

Its not that hes leaving, its the things that were said and the way the new contract was presented thats upsetting people.

The way I see it, there are two things at play

One is Delph moving on. I don't blame him for a second. I wouldn't hitch myself to this mess of a club.

The other, though, is the low release fee which means the contract was clearly an "i'm off, but just to make sure you get some money back, I'll sign up but with a low release clause" job.

Which they then followed up by having him read all that loyal shit over the screens at the match, and then, and this is idiotic, stuck him centre in the kit ads, the most Delph centric of which they tweeted ten minutes ago.

Honestly, I think we've been treated like idiots by player and club.

He will probably say he was disillusioned following the sacking of Lambert who stood by him.

If, the club suspected or knew he was about to go within days, why put him on the front of the new kit adverts? It's beyond belief. The £8m clause is evidence enough that he never intended to stay.

He's going to earn £30-40k per week more, pick up a few winners medals & play less than half the games.
