I think £12m is a perfectly fair price for him compared to what some players have gone for.
I was almost had by the subtle sarcasm in your post....very good!

It's less to do with what he is worth and the point at which it becomes worth our while to accept a bid.

When you see players who play in a similar position such as Fernando, Henderson, Paulinho, Dembele, McCarthy etc all moving for between £15-£20m I think we would need to be looking at that sort of figure.

What he is worth to us and what he is valued at by anyone else could be wildly different. As in Benteke, I think is worth to us is probably far in excess another clubs willingness to pay.

His transfer value has to reflect the fact that he's just signed a new long-term contract too. £12m wouldn't even come close.

What a boring, shit rumour.

I could do it myself: What player is good from a bottom half of the league team? Moussa Sissoko. Which club in the big four might play him given the chance? Arsenal. Who might Arsenal loan out or be surplus to requirements? Yaya Sanogo.

Rumour: Arsenal preparing a £12m bid for Sissoko and are willing to send Yaya Sanogo on loan to sweeten the deal.

It's bullshit and it's a waste of everybody's time.

I was referring to KRS's post originally last night who said that he wasn't worth that much (because he often cuts inside and shoots wide) and I said £12m was a fair enough price. I'm was'nt saying he was only worth £12m, he should fetch more than that. I think lines got crossed somewhere.

Delph on a 4 year deal is worth way more than £12 million. He's a central part of the England team now. If you doubled that figure and added between £5-10 million then that'd be about right.

I'm fairly sure that post existed only to take the piss out of the valuation of Andros Townsend

£12m for his left foot, what about the right? If they think Sterling is worth £50m then they need to think on.

I'm going to treat this rumour with the contempt it deserves

Unless Delph has hinted to Sherwood he wants out.
