Rumours of a 12 million bid for Delph from Liverpool.  The silly season really is in full swing

Well, it's the going rate for an England international according to Spurs.

Surely he's not worth that much...how many times does Delph cut in and shoot widely into the crowd? Ridiculous valuation.

The rumour is £12m plus borini plus Ibe on loan. Jonny Gould is saying sherwood would do that deal but it looks unlikely.

Would be a bloody terrible deal tho!!

Whilst i think the rumours are rubbish, I think £12m is a perfectly fair price for him compared to what some players have gone for.

Jordan Henderson went for £18m before he was any good. Jake Livermore went for £8m.

Crap deal. No way is that a real deal. Sell our captain, Borini? Never. Bruno Lucas, maybe, never in 12 million would I want Borini.

I'm sorry but that would be the worst deal ever. If Sherwood was prepared to sanction that he should be sacked.

It's such a deal that I really can't believe it's true.

Decent Villa players have been linked with Liverpool more than any other club over past few years....the press think it's a step up but they are not quite good enough for CL team... Pah.

Liverpool were supposed to be in for Delph in January...so I don't quite see why he'd reject their interest in January, sign a new deal....then sign for them 4 months later.

To be fair to Jonny Gould he's named at least four new owners.

He's described his bull shit rumour as unlikely, so when it doesn't happen, he can take some credit.

Sherwood loves Delph and has made him captain. Why would he then sell him for a book of food stamps? More bollocks simply linking Liverpool to everyone. They are the new Spurs. Sign in volume and hope it all comes together.
