He could easily have got dragged down by some of the troublemakers but didn't do so. Game after game he puts in great performances. He has calmed down his rash challenges a bit but is still not afraid to get stuck in.

You put a couple of half decent midfielders next to Delph, you'd never hear anyone ask for Milner to come back.

magnificent tonight. I fully expect him to be left out of the next England squad.

From a selfish point of view, long may that continue.

It's funny, I don't think I've ever seen a player with such an erratic first touch be then able to look so composed and skillful when in control of the ball. That goal tonight was even more impressive than the peach at Southampton. It takes real ability to drop the shoulder like that and keep the ball down while shooting with venom from close-ish range but at a difficult angle.

Apparently he's already one of our high earners. He always seems to show an appreciation for how the club treated him during his many months of rehab so I think he'll do right by us and sign what he's offered in the summer. I always willed him to come good as you knew he had something to him. To be honest, I'd be more gutted if he left than if Benteke did (or possibly any other player except Gabby and that's as much down to sentiment in Gabby's case as his abilities).

Quality player. What he needs is a good anchorman just behind him and a good playmaker just ahead of him and our midfield is sorted. Sort the midfield and then our defence will get more help and thus look better, and we'll also create more for our front three who are all good players on form. I don't think we're that far off being a half decent side at the minute.

He's easily good enough to get into the England team. What do you mean by "not international class?"

If Jay Rodriguez can pull on an England jersey, Fabian Delph should be a shoo-in.

Definitely. The England side could certainly use a bit of pace and drive in the middle. I also fancy Delphy to get a few more goals this season. It seems like he's potentially adding it to his game. He's got a couple of belters this season and been close in other games.

Get this lad a new 5 year contract. I love watching him play and now he's started banging them in from anywhere. Serious talent.

Just as I said. He isnt good or consistent enough at that level. He payed well tonight, but he would get sown up big time at the WC. Not physical enough for one thing. Hate to say it but if was that good, he would be stalked by the bigger clubs, and hes not

Fab goal tonight and i love his attitude

And look how he performed. Well out of his league, same for Delph

In your opinion.

He wont go to the WC and he shouldn't unless he gets more consistent.

People seem to get very excited when he scores a wonder goal like tonight and southampton.
