Has really carried on from where he left off last year. Turning into a very fine player.

Let him loose on Liverpool and then give him a couple of weeks' rest

Didn't think Delph was good enough after his first couple years and lots of injuries, but the last few months of last season and the first couple of games this season he is really starting to look a quality player. Just hope he can stay fit and free off suspensions of course!!!!

I was a fan when he signed, having been upbraided by Leeds fans up here about his ability and potential. I'm delighted and - as a former manager might say: "triffic, just triffic".

Indeed.

Turning into the midfield general of a very good team and may finish up as skipper.
Can he grow a beard ?

I'm not entirely convinced he's got chest hair and pubes yet to be honest. He looks about 12.

He absolutely bossed the midfield second half last night. You can see the effect a run of games has had on his confidence, as he picks the ball up and glides past players with ease.

Seen him do that a few times, even when he's had 2 players going towards him.

Makes it look easy.

I said a few years ago that he'd eventually do well in deep midfield. Then last season at Bradford was one of the worst midfield performances I've seen - and look how he's recovered.

Last night I thought he looked like Emmanuel Petit: strong, combative, technically all there and sinuously brilliant when dribbling. The way that, from time to time, he just squeezed himself through the whole Chelsea midfield was exceptional, and his ball-retention under pressure was superb - there was one particular little flick that was something only really top class players could do against a side like Chelsea. He's mental.

I love that thing he does to completely change direction when faced with an opponent. it's like a chopping action on the ball with his heel, which sends the other guy the wrong way and him into space. Glorious.

Agree with purpletrousers - we need a song for Fab!

Any offers?

We can do a *lot* better than this, and I don't especially like it, but for starters, what with him being a bit of a terrier snapping at the opposition…

Who let the Delph out
Woof woof Woof woof

?

come on get your thinking caps on!

Delph has this brilliant knack of looking like he's about to lose control of the ball whilst actually being in complete control. It encourages players to step-into challenges and he has sufficient acceleration to move away from them.  He was also desperately unlucky not to score against Arsenal.

I think Jack Wilshere is a decent player, but I also think he's the most over-hyped player in world football. I'd genuinely rather have Delph in our side at the moment.

He learned that off Stan Petrov. It was Stan's signature move.
