Would love to put one over on these bastards, particularly that scumbag Terry. But, being realistic, I think it's too much to hope for. As a minimum, I want us to make them work hard for anything they get.

4-4 until the 93rd minute, then Tony Moon will make a long run from our 18 yard box, jinx past 2 Chelski defenders, pass the ball to Gabby who will nice and calmly SLOT IT HOME INTO THE BACK OF THE NET. 5-4 Villa. Maybe i have had to many Nicorette chewing gum today. 8)

3-1 Chelsea.

Just happy to do these at Villa Park and John Terry to be stretcher off again after Benteke has knocked him out two seconds before the final whistle.

8-0 to us! I wonder if Okore will play in this game? Think Lambo might well change the line-up. I hope Sylla is back as well. Okore & Sylla will add power and pace me thinks!

A 3-1 victory at a fading massive club followed by a trip to Stamford bridge . . Ominous!!

This will be at least two steps up from arsenal, and from what people are saying villa will need to improve right across the pitch to get anything out of the game. I wonder if he'll rest Weimann for bacuna or perhaps Tonev. But i suspect he'll conclude that Tonev and Okore aren't match fit.

I'm a bit concerned about what I saw of vlaar yesterday. And good to hear clark did well but Chelsea will be a different kettle of fish.

3-1 Chelsea. Then on to a really tough match v a Liverpool side who'll be fresher.

But fantastic to have the three points because no matter what happens in our next two games we'll have a respectable points tally from these three games.

There will be changes and there will need to be. I hope Sylla is fit because he will be important if we are to get anything. I think Bacuna could well take Andi's place too.

I think the lads who played yesterday fully deserve another start - unlikely baker will be fit but clark played well when  he came on so i would stick with that , i like sylla but how could you drop any of the midfield 3 after yesterday?

I just think it's very MON to "keep a winning side". We have three games in a week, it's the first week of the season and I would certainly like to see some rotation in midfield. They aren't being dropped, they are being rotated. What's the point in finally getting a good squad together if we aren't going to use it?

Fair point regarding not being dropped but rotated, i doubt sylla will be available for Wednesday though and even if he was i would stick with the three who did such a good job yesterday .
I'm sure during the season lambert will rotate at times and make use of the squad but i would keep the same team apart from the injured baker.

Weimann played a full 90 last weds, 85 yday and we've got Liverpool in a week. If he's showing signs of tiredness I'd prioritise the Liverpool game as one where he's more likely to be a goal threat.

Perhaps it won't be till after the upcoming international break that we see Okore and Tonev in, using the league cup to give them more game time in between?

With these new 'all in one' match threads, is there a way of jumping straight to a certain post when the thread changes?
