I don't like to come on here moaning about my club. Last season or the season before I had a bit of a strop on here when I left work and went to Hinckley after work to watch the reserves only to find that the game had been called off.  This was only one in a long line of Academy or reserve games that had been switched or put forward or back by an hour resulting in me being early or late for KO.

I do remember a few posters particularly Dave Cooper saying I should check on the website and Twitter and not being at all sympathetic.  Of course that is easier said than done when you are working all day.
Last season seemed a bit better to be fair. They moved fixtures but did inform the supporters.

Today we were playing Spurs at Bodymore in a 12 noon KO.  I checked the website at 8am before going to work. No problem, game still on. Got caught at work and couldn't get out until 12.45 so made my way to watch the second half.  As I turned into the car park it was obvious there was no games there today.  I spoke to the guy at the gate who informed me the game was called off on Thursday.  I said "Well it was still on the website when I checked this morning" He replied "That's what everyone else said including a scout that had traveled from Liverpool"

It really isn't good enough.  Or am I being precious again ?

The website really isn't befitting of a club of our size and heritage in many aspects.

Forgot to mention that Phil Neville and Kevin Campbell were there watching the first half of the U-14s match. Man City totally dominated that one and they had a player that cost £500,000 for them to get from another club. Bloody ridiculous.

Aston Villa U13s 1 Manchester United U13s 3 (Game 2 15 mins e/w)

Boy, do they start them early. Mouthing off at the ref, diving, cynical fouls and blatant cheating. The kid in the number 10 shirt was particularly good in all four areas and after numerous talkings-to by the ref he eventually got substituted by his coach so he did not get sent off. Quite disgraceful actions at this age.

Spurs had a midfielder, Kane who proved to be very able...........sorry!

He was genuinely the best player on the pitch....Siegrist for Villa made some great saves.

That's good to hear, Siegrist was jumping all over the place, to great effect. Sounds as if both teams had decent players but this lad Kane was a bit special. If some of our 'special ones' had not moved on, do you think that Villa could have won? If so, there is something really special happening with the U21s and their set up.

If that's Harry Kane then he's played for the first team a few times.

Marvellous result for the young lads, bearing in mind Spurs had two PL players in their team, including the great Simon Dawkins.

Johnson and especially Calder were excellent all game and set up a great chance for Strain to win the match but he missed it.
