Middlesbrough U21 0-1 Villa U21 - HT: Villa have the lead at the break here on Teesside thanks to Graham Burke’s goal.
It was a quiet start from both sides with neither goalkeeper being called into action in the opening half-an-hour.
Burke fired into the side-netting with a free-kick, while a 30-yard shot from Boro’s Lewis Maloney was comfortably held by Benjamin Siegrist.
But Villa made the most of the one real first-half opportunity that came their way as Burke opened the scoring on 31 minutes.
The Dubliner converted Jordan Graham’s cross, rounding off a move that started with a terrific surging run through the middle by skipper Daniel Johnson.
Moments later, more excellent build-up play from Burke and Graham teed up full-back Courtney Wildin who miscued his shot.

Middlesbrough U21 0-2 Villa U21 - FT: Villa make it back-to-back wins in the Barclays U21 Premier League with a clinical display at the Riverside Stadium. Graham Burke gave Gordon Cowans' side the lead in the first period before Janoi Donacien headed in the second after the break. Jordan Graham was the standout performer on the night - the talented winger having a hand in both goals.

And no Steven Davis, Darius Vassell, Stefan Bienlich, Dwight Yorke, Nigel Spink, Gary Shaw, Gordon Cowans, Brian Little...etc etc I'm only including full internationals here. Yes I know many of those aren't playing anymore but they use Matt Le Tissier as an example for Southampton.

I think that was 9 players, the second most from those listed, rather than ninth best.

Villa U21 1-1 Leicester U21 - GOAL - 32mins: Villa are level as Graham Burke continues his purple patch in front of goal. Referee Anthony Tankard pointed to the spot after Khalid Abdo made a jinking run into the box and was too quick for George Taft, who tripped the Swedish teenager. Burke made no mistake from the spot, sending Foxes keeper Adam Smith the wrong way.
