what was the team reaction at the final whistle?

All of them went over to the fans, at least Gabby and Benteke threw their shirts into the crowd.

How long ago was it since Arsenal lost their opener at home?

20 years according to the Beeb.

We were very much in it from the 25th minute. Second penalty should never have been given but we fully deserved the win.

Delph was terribly unlucky not to score but man of the match by a mile!

I'd just posted 'Cornalty' to them when my stream dropped out. Refreshed and heard cheers when it came back up. Thought 'shit' then heard that Tony Moon had scored. Rollercoaster of emotions encapsulated in one minute - and it's only the first game of the season! Think I may need to up the blood pressure tablets.

Pen's aside...that ref should never be let near another football pitch again.

Villa win. Blues lost, and just remembered I had a tenner on Villa to win Benteke to score.

The last bit of Sky Soccer Saturday showed Chesney moaning at the ref. Did he forget he the refs incompetence actually meant he was still on the pitch at the end to moan?
