That Rotherham 3-1 match - just noticed we fielded 8 Englishmen, 2 Scotsmen - and Davie Rudge who apparently didn't have a nationality...

Knocked us out of FAC4 at Villa Park 3-1 in 1968.

I'm afraid it wasn't that exciting,1-0 defeat and referred to by the character,Lennie Godber in 'Porridge', a 'Quiet Night In ',I think. Lennie refers to this game as an early example of disillusionment in his life.A comedy classic,the programme that is,the game was awful.

I was also at that game, it was one we expected to coast through on the way to a good cup run.

I suspect it's only because we have no game the weekend afterwards. I think Lambert generally prefers the Tuesday games, annoyingly.
