Bloody hell our defence is still shit then I see! Luna done very easily, vlaar too and could have given away a pen, and then Okore just sort of fell over

It will be such a shame if it turned out that the defence hadn't improved significantly on last season's showing.

I know an own goal is one of those things that can happen, but there was some well iffy defending in the run up to it.

We're playing great. 3-0. It's free to watch on the Malaga website too which is always nice.

Thanks for that. I can tune in now!

Help out a thicko who can't find it with a link please?

Well, we can't half play some good stuff going forward.

Tonev looks really impressive, and can actually take a corner. Benteke's first was typical of him, defenders bouncing off him. I also thought Delph looked very good indeed.

Hard to draw many conclusions re the defence, but it'd be a shame if it hadn't improved greatly, given how excellent we can be when attacking.

Loved Woodward bigging up AVTV at the end for this live coverage, "because it isn't easy to do, you know" - we believe you, Jack, we spent 85 minutes watching a spinning loading animation for the first "live" game.

Difficult to judge the defence today - first time that Okore and Vlaar have had signiificant time together as CB.
We have already seen that Luna - like Bennett - is better going forward.
I remain unconvinced by Vlaar ...

Maybe we could have Vlaar doing the commentary and stick Jack in the middle of defence?

Are we the new Spurs a la Ardiles? Score more than them and we'll be OK...

I do think Luna could get a bit of a tough time given he's gonna be up against Walcott and then mata. I wonder if baker might start there?

Vlaar isn't convincing is he? Looks just a bit off positionally, while lacking pace and dominance in the air
