Well I think that first 35 minutes confirmed that we're going to win the league. The other 19 clubs may as well give up now.

well I definitely think that these matches have shown that Gardner, Carruthers, Burke, Robinson and, after tonight, Donacien need to go out on loan for the season to see how they perform.  Don't think they are up to first team standard at the minute and keeping them at VP playing reserve and under 21 games won't help their development.

Seeing as nearly everyone had a run out today, what's the chances of me getting to see "The Bomb Squad" in action at Newport on Sunday ?

None.  They're the bomb squad.  It'll be mostly kids.

Just seen the goals on SSN. I just can not see us drawing or dare I say losing any games this season.

I wonder what odds you could get on us going the full 38 game season and not drawing 0-0?

I'd settle for two 0-0 games to start the season

I'd agree on all them except Gardner. I don't think he's stood out by any means but we need 3 CM's to cover our first choice 3, so he'd be one of those to cover. With injuries, resting etc, we'll need him. Maybe put him out for the first month or two, but not more than that.

Carruthers may be close to the first team squad. He does need a bit of an attitude adjustment. He reminds me of Craig Bellamy.

As a defender, I thought that he was the most commanding of the lot, especially in the air. He certainly staked a claim tonight.

Very reminiscent of a young Ugo Ehiogu. Tall, leggy but has some pace once up to stride, good in the air and strong in the tackle.

He impressed me at right back the other day too. A season too early perhaps but he's impressive, and if comparing to Ugo, he's roughly the age Ugochuku must have been when he made his debut.

I would be a tad worried if Gardner came in as cover, he needs to go out on loan for at least a season to find his feet.
