Assuming he still has the fans backing the club will undoubtedly make more money from selling name sets of players with 2 numbers on the shirt as opposed to those with single digits, if numbers cost £3 each there's a lot of money to be made

This could be due to the fact that the club have sold lots of the new home shirt with Benteke's name on and don't want a load of returns or exchanges

Albrighton's crossing was sensational, no question.  But he is very much a confidence player and his confidence was shot after the TSM experience.  But even in the (very) few minutes he got under Lambert I thought he looked more lively and up for it, so I'd definitely give him another go.

Albrighton is an out-and-out winger, a type of player we don't really have any others of. He's a different option and, if he can get himself back on track, has showed he can be a very good and useful player.

Bent's performances as a substitute last season wouldn't really warrant that response. However, looking at the squad now, I think it's clear that Lambert is trying to give us more options like that - Helenius and Tonev may well be feared from off the bench.

Andreas Weimann's popularity among Villa fans continues to surge with replica shirts bearing the striker's name dominating sales.

Weimann was announced as Villa's new No.10 yesterday when the squad numbers for the 2013-14 were revealed.

Since the announcement, fans have been quick to snap up their customised player replica shirts - with 'Weimann 10' making up a staggering 95% of sales.

This includes shirt transactions in person at Villa stores, as well as purchasers from as far away as Australia and the Far East through our new online store.

"There has been a tremendous response from the fans since the squad numbers for the new season were announced," said head of merchandising John Greenfield.

"We've had orders come in from all over the world for customised replica shirts.

"The fans have really taken to Andreas since he broke into the first team.

"He is an academy graduate who gives everything on the field and these figures highlight his growing popularity."

Following the official squad number announcement yesterday, fans were able to customise their shirts via the new Kit Builder app on the online store.
