Lot of "Nervous Nellies" posting tonight.Granted defending looks a bit precious at times- but it was a friendly and plenty of changes.Would still like to see Okore in defence though.

KEA continues to look disappointing.

In fairness, it must be quite difficult to play when you haven't eaten or drank anything since about 6 this morning.

Probably a little before that.
3.20 AM to be precise.

Luton tried very hard and we clearly weren't in the same vein. Neither did we have a whole host of attacking players.

I thought grealish was the pick of the kids, followed by donacien and then Robinson. Thought carruthers was poor and Gardner worse.

Kea was disappointing. Not sure what to make of bacuna.

We have no fit forwards now!

With hindsight Perform are just trying to save us from watching weak performances. Hopefully, this will mean that any match where one of their technicians keeps all of the plugs in the plugholes will be worth watching.

Villa didn't win any of their preseason friendlies prior to the 1980/81 season ;)

Yes, it's only a friendly & we are building up fitness but mistakes by defenders were costing us over the latter half of the season. The 2nd goals on Saturday & tonight were caused by the same players, making the same mistakes. That has nothing to do with fitness & everything to do with them not being good enough.

I remember the days when we used to go Sweden and play parks teams, we'd rattle in the goals with even the teaboy getting a hat-trick. Didn't mean a fat lot once the season started for real.

I like that. So we just need to not win the next two.

Benteke shouldn't have played in this game on so little training. A lot of these players ripped through Chelsea for 60 minutes only 3 months ago!

I'll start worrying if we're this shit when we play Malaga.  Also, I seriously doubt Vlaar and Clark will play together again next season (it'll be Vlaar-Baker)
