Spurs are really becoming a laughing stock now, even in the media. Valencia were expecting them to meet Soldado's £26m buy-out clause and were only talking to them on that basis. Then when it comes down to it, they can't put their money where their mouth is and talks break down. Sound familiar?

Add in the Bale stuff having missed out on David Villa and Christian Benteke and they really are looking like idiots.

Haha these clowns are always ITK on things but get it so spectacularly wrong. Also they have such a chip on shoulder about arsenal its unbelievable, west ham and chelsea fans find spurs intolerable because of spurs own deluded visions of world beaters. Always a team who could play even the best of the park then lose to a team they claim they should be. That divine right - gosh where's that from! - always see them never as a major contender for league as lack a consistentcy and temperament to  perform and excel. The club and fans start to believe the media hype and they implode. Same as the many potential decent players that have been at the club in prem league years. Lack substance character and nothing but a club that media and ex players like an example of the money in game that show up a squad thtas only recently produced any young players ! I hope bale goes !

Watching them today, they had tons of possession and looked comfortable with it, but absolutely nothing up front.

Soldado might adapt well to the English game, but I can't help thinking they should have bought someone ready to go.

Benteke would have been perfect.

Themselves and Everton could struggle this year. I mean, they might drop out of the top six.

How many games last season were Spurs going nowhere when Bale turned the game? These signings might well work out  (eventually) but they may not be game changers in the sense that Bale has been for them. They are improving in terms of keeping the ball which makes it harder to score against them but they're going to be lacking cutting edge quite a lot by the looks of it.

Rumour is that they are going for Ince tomorrow too. I think when they settle, with Eriksen and Lamela in there too they will be a formidable outfit.

Wouldn't mind Sigurdson off them though!

How many midfielders is it possible for one club to have?

6,000 options in midfield and two or three unconvincing ones up front.

Spurs have always binged on midfielders.

Sandro, Capoue, Townsend, Holtby, Sigurdson, Eriksen, Lennon, Paulinho, Chadli, Carroll, Dembele.

Quite a few isn't it! I would love Sigurdson off them.
