FT 1-1

Not the worst result considering their season starts next week so they will be much fitter than us.

One of my mates who's over there text saying Paderborn were quite good. It's all about fitness and the new players gelling in i suppose at the moment.

The Meaning Evil says that Okore, Tonev and Agbonlahor are already carrying knocks, while Albrighton is missing practice because of an illness. The latter is particularly strange because he was pictured on the Paderborn pitch with Agbonlahor earlier this afternoon.

I have played in their old stadium, Army Minor Units Cup sem-final in 1989, we beat 16 Tank Transporter Regiment 4-2 after extra time.

were you allowed to use your military equipment? if so, you must be nails.

Perhaps he's got hay fever.

I was Royal Signals so our radios and teleprinters were hardly a match for their 40 ton tank transporters. We still won though,

Highlights are now on AVTV. Both goals are pretty decent.

What the hell has happened to Super Marc? I swear he's running out of excuses for not playing. Really hoping he can return to 2010 and tear some fullbacks apart soon.

I used to work for a construction company on an MoD contract and would have cause to visit many Raf and army bases around the country - why do they call royal signals scaley backs, always wondered, but never asked anyone before?

I believe it comes from WWI. The radios the signallers carried had huge battery packs which used to leak acid down the back of the poor sod carrying it causing acid burns and a "scaley back".
