A central defender is a must , I also think Bennett has shown enough to suggest he will be a useful player and would not spend big on a left back- maybe a utility player who could cover all defensive options would be useful.

We have no problems at right back. I am happy with Lowton and Herd as a back up. Bennett redeemed himself in my eyes towards the end of the season but we need an option and Stevens isn't it. I heard Cresswell at Ipswich is available for about two million. Lescott would be ideal for the centre. I like Baker, but he is prone to drop big clangers. Clark didn't have a great season and Vlaar disappointed me slightly but with one good signing in that position we would suddenly have options and competition for places.
Think you've got this about right, with the addition of another dependable defensive CB for cover.

Disagree about Bennett, don't think he's Prem class.

I'd love a decent left back and a Lescott ( even Lescott himself !) to get the back sorted.

Bennett improved at the end of last season, it would be very harsh to say not.

Can he be at that level for 30 + prem games next season (providing he stays fit aswell). I have my doubts and expect he'll have a serious dip in form.

Would have seen us pushing for Europe with the Midfield/attack were developing.
