Having a defence that does not concede so many goals
« on: June 03, 2013, 08:38:29 PM »
This is where I feel we need to strengthen next season.

The prize for stating the bleeding obvious goes to me!

No, we don't need a right back.

Next season we will score more than we will concede  even if we do not strengthen the defence. So no worries and I am NOT affected by sunshine before anyone says so....

If we concede fewer goals next season, that will be a good thing IMO.

I think there's something there in Bennett but at times he did struggle last season and it might be a risk to rely on him again. Bearing in mind Lescott can play left back, he'd be first on my wish list before anyone else.

I'd be happy if our defence isn't the footballing equivalent of Katie Price's tuppence again. Oh yes, that would be nice.
I dream of a world in which we keep it respectable at the back, move the ball about well in midfield with skill and purpose and hammer a fair few goals in. Balance.
