Happy Rotterdam Day, I put this on FB and you could feel the jealousy coming from the rags and tesco bags.

What a great day, still got the ellerman travel documents with rail and ferry tickets. Match ticket also, but didnt get a programme. Still got a clog given to me from some lady while having a few beers by a little stream near the ground.

A day of wonder! Anyone play in that mass 'Fans friendly' on the Feyernoord training pitch in the afternoon? About 60 of us v 10 Bayern fans. A good all round tactical performance, man to men marking and with everyone giving 110% resulted in a narrow 32 -1 victory for us (their's was offside and didn't cross the line according to the 20 defenders on it!). Happy days.

oh yes the footy before versus the jermans (yes i know its spelt with a g not a j) i was one of the 5 goalies we had one at one stage there goal was deemed not over the line by a russian hot dog seller who held up a mustard filled hot dog and it was ruled not over the line. so really it was 32-0. quite simply the greatest day of my life.

Not sure if it was a parallel game but there was a 150 a side game on a big open park space in the city centre near the Double Diamond pub. A very, very boozy afternoon.
It was generally pretty good natured but a couple of pitch invasions led to our opening game in defence of the trophy against Besiktas being played behind closed doors.

Regarding the picture posted by The Man With A Stick, along with the trophy is Tony Barton holding an arrow, a feather or some kebab meat on a skewer? As for the picture posted by Mortimer's Bear, it is good to see the ground looking a lot more full than on the TV footage.

Damo70, Bayern had slightly more fans than we did, and it is their end you see in the great photo by Mortimer's Bear.

I was in the front row of the top part of the stand behind the goal where we scored. I think the problem is that the main TV cameras were facing the one stand that was relatively sparsely occupied.

Another thing was that a lot of us had tickets for those empty seats but went and stood behind the goal instead. If you look closely you will see that behind the goal in the upper tier it was truly packed.
