What's this got to do with Villa?

What's this got to do with Villa?

The Tweet was by a Villa fan, to someone who was talking about the Villa.

Is there any point to Twitter, other than to give 2nd rate rags cheap headlines?

Before I make my point I should emphasise that I in no way condone such a horribly offensive comment. One look at the profile of the so called 'fan' reveals he is an inarticulate, vapid fool.

However, upon reading Savage's provocative comments towards Villa throughout the day, particularly the following: 'Must say well done to villa for staying up once, winning European cups now celebrating survival in premier league ! Well done' it was evident that some moron was going to take the bait. Unfortunately, this reflects badly on us all. The best policy with Savageclown is to ignore him.

Seems savage said his best moment of the season was seeing bradford beat villa - still there is no excuse for such cowardly and insensitive behaviour - i hope the culprit is outed and shamed.

This isn't reflective of Villa fans. It's just one person being a tool.

Savage is like the Albion, desperate for someone to care about them and realised that trying to wind up Villa fans is the best way. Ignore them and they will soon go away.

He ought to know better than to tweet things like that to be honest. It's as if he wants a reaction and he's got it. Not big or clever by either side really.

Is the right answer.

It can be a good thing if used respectfully - i have had exchanges with the likes of paul McGrath, Brian little , gabby Logan, and many others and it is a way for fans to directly correspond with people they otherwise wouldn't have access to- as clampy rightly says though there will always be idiots who spoil it for the decent majority.

He's a football pundit and he made a remark about football.

If people are unable to read that without wishing death upon his family, they really are pathetic twats.

A far better response would've been "yes Robbie, we did avoid relegation. What does it feel like?".

Some people are not that clever though are they?

Let's face it, what he got tweeted was horrific and whilst i would'nt go so far to say he was asking for it, knowing he's not popular with Villa fans, it was'nt a very constructive thing to write.
