Our front three have scored 23 in 15 (stat courtesy of paul_e. It extrapolates to 58 goals over a season!!). We need to focus on the fact that, like spiders, they should be more scared of us than we should of them. A lot more.

That great now if we can find a goalscoring midfielder like Ian Taylor or David Platt we will be really competitive. I hope we are looking for a playmaker who can score goals and defend well. (Ideally Zidane type)

The confident is high and I can't see anything but a Villa win.

My thoughts on the Norwich match (with some justified wallowing in the glow of the Sunderland victory) have just been posted. You can find a preview and the link below:

"Had Aston Villa been tasked to play Norwich City straight after the Sunderland demolition, you feel they would have swept them aside too, but as the adrenalin dissipates, it's back to a tough away fixture both sides need to win..."

Think this one will be a 1-1 draw. However Im very confident the Baggies will come up trumps against Wigan leaving us six points away from them. Thats a huge ask at this late stage of the season.

Careful. There were plenty of comments like this on the Sunderland forums, prior to Monday night (about Sunderland of course)

We need to win because:
1 - we just do
and
2 - the Albion will lose on purpose.

Some of the comments are obviously to play to the crowd (about the crowd!). You know what though, I reckon Lambert does have the happy knack of "getting" what us lot are all about.

It is now down to not what we are about, but to what the players are about, they got us here they have to get us out of it

2-1 Norwich. I think a draw would be a decent point if Wigan, Sunderland and newcastle all lose...

But i agree with that adrenalin quote from above. the team will be on a high but its how they handle themselves on Saturday. norwich will undoubtedly have more of the ball so we hopefully won't be too impatient in trying to force it. also, the defence still need to remember they are always prone to a goal conceding mistake so don't get too cocky on the ball too early on.

I don't think they will, I think we will edge/ monopolise possession in the game.

We may do, but last time we were in this position next up was Fulham at home. When there's been a glimmer of light we've managed to mess up the next game. Lets see what they are like on Saturday.
