Sticking it to PDC was great fun. But how much sweeter could it have been, if O Neill was still in charge? I'd still be cartwheeling as we speak.

Nice to see us stuff Di Canio's insulting comments back down his throat.

Nothing like the feeling the morning after we've given somebody a good old fashioned shoeing.

I need to get on with some work rather than scouring the web for the umpteen reviews of the game but the scouring is just so satisfying!!

I was trying to get a chorus of nessun dorma going in the Holte for him, but to no avail.

I'll admit we are shit.

That is depressingly difficult to argue against.

It seems like forever since we had a night like that at VP, it was a great performance from all of them and all of us.

After all my trials and tribulations of last year this was the game that reminded me of why we do it, why we put up with those crap performances in terrible weather. A night when crowd and team seem to all be together and a reaffirmation of why this is a special club to support.

We were so wrapped up in it we missed the last train so had to go back to the pub and get them to call us a taxi but nobody cared, we all just carried on talking bollocks with the biggest possible grins on our faces. Sent a text saying, or so I intended, "missed last train, getting cab" and got one back saying "how are you getting home" but was too busy enjoying myself to take much notice. When I read it back this morning realised I'd put "can" not "cab", which explains the less then overwhelming reception.

I am sure I can come up with something better for the mag but, for now, I will simply point out that I really enjoyed it, had to get a cab home as I missed the last train by a mile, have a very sore head this morning and my legs are black and blue from the goal celebrations.

It's such a good feeling and I really hope the players carry this on to the Norwich game. According to my Norwich supporting friend both Turner and Bassong are likely to be out, so our forwards could have a field day. It would be wonderful to be pretty much safe after this weekend.

Watched the whole game again at 6am. Fantastic stuff, the whole place was rocking and I'm still on a high. This is what supporting Villa is all about!

Just wanted to mention the second goal. It was a great run, pass and finish but the initial interception caught my eye. As their player wound up for the cross field pass, Lowton anticipated it and moved himself 10 yards to the right so was in the perfect position to take the ball. Had he stayed where he was it would have gone to the winger and we'd have been on the back foot. Such a small thing in itself but crucial in the context of the game, and possibly the season.

When the Trinity starts singing......you just know its a special night.

I know. I'm considering writing a letter of complaint. We don't do singing, we normally only do sarcasm.
