Well I am absolutely buzzing this morning, it's such a great feeling. I was watching with a Norwich supporting mate last night and he was getting pretty edgy. He did make reference to how brilliant Lowton had been. Fantastic night and it reminded why following Villa is totally worth it, no other fans could appreciate that like we did.

What was your favourite goal?

Weimann's for me. Lowton's reading of the game, the interception he took on his chest, then the sweeping crossfield ball out to Andi when I thought he'd play the easier ball in towards Benteke. Weimann's sublime first touch to set himself up for the curling shot - more of a pass really - into the far corner of the net. Perfect.

It was an important goal too, from the point of view of the match situation at that point. Gave us the half time lead which was vital.

As an aside, I thought their goal was really, really good.
Yes I said to my neighbours  they did us there. Vlaar may be caught out but nevertheless good set up and execution.

Agreed, but I think the best part of that goal was actually off the ball.  Watch it again and pay attention to the starting positions of Benteke and Gabby and then where they run to.  I've seen it before but last night was a perfect example of how the 3 of them work together.

What was your favourite goal?

Weimann's was excellent however it was the Vlaar Exocet rocket that I enjoyed most sitting in the centre North upper. As he hit it you could see it was on target and travelling at some speed. You can see it but there is nothing you can do about it!

Ironically I thought we were pretty poor for the first 20 odd minutes. Positionally we were getting in each others' way. Other than Baker (who I like but has become very suspect positionally), they were all superb second half.
Yes I thought we were a bit nervous and not able to get smooth passes going almost how we were post Xmas period. This resulted in ball ending up with Guzan quite often and there were number of long kicks looking for a knock on from Benteke to no effect.

And we only won 6-1. Never mind. Norwich will be a better story, 7-0 Villa.

That was an unbelievable goal. Especially after Rose's and Vlaar's which were also excellent.

My Naaarwich supporting mate wants us to do them a favour by beating Wigan. Coincidentally will be at the home of cricket with him on the last day of the season

Nothing like the feeling the morning after we've given somebody a good old fashioned shoeing.

When the Trinity starts singing......you just know its a special night.

Fantastic on and off the field.

Let's keep the momentum going for Norwich.  Massive pressure on Wigan now

The world does indeed seem a brighter, happier, more optimistic place this morning, doesn't it?

Still extremely happy this morning.

Watched the whole match before going to bed, drank too much red wine, but fuck it, a really decent night was had.

If I were a Newcastle fan, I'd be shitting it today. Not only are they getting worse, but they've had a 12 goal GD go in the space of three days.
