Some people are drawing parallels to Bolton last season. I disagree. Last year the skies were dark grey with every chance getting darker and blacker. The football, the mood, the future. Everything was bleak. This game, while every bit as important, if not more so, still gives cause for tremendous optimism. Agreed. There isn't the same sense of dread that there was last year. Last year we were watching villa be dragged back to the dark ages. This season has felt like the foundations of something special are being put in place.
