If that gets you going you'd go mental living out here. More than any other sport, NFL players/coaches/announcers/analysts etc etc insist on calling the NFL, The National Football League. Like they have to say the entire thing all the time. That and in studio, ex players simply cannot exercise basic sentences as part of conversation without having a "football" in their hands. It's like those people who are despite trying to give up smoking simply need to have something in their yellow fingers out of habit.
