There was an article about Mervyn King and the Bank of England on the BBC 6 o'clock news. They showed a clip of Stan on the pitch on Saturday.

Well done to the club for this. It was a given really. Not just for sentiment, but because Stan's a fantastic role model. Great player, brilliant work ethic and impeccable character.

Out of interest, why do we call Cowans "Sid"? I think my dad explained it to me when I was little but I've forgotten.

Number one academy in the country... Why isn't this shouted from the roof tops? Wonderful achievement, and a great addition to the club. Having petrov help develop the young talent with Sid is fantastic news.
