Just to confirm what was said about the atmosphere. The negative constant moaners around me in the lower North Stand had all transformed themselves into optimistic vocal supporters for the day.

Another good piece, Dave. I agree about the atmosphere. The Holte Lower were standing for much of the game, which normally doesn't happen except against Blues, and the support was more vocal than for a long time. It's good to see the crowd staying to applaud the team, as they did at Reading and again this week, and Vlaar's comments in the newspapers show that the players appreciate this.

Great scenes at the end, and I liked the way they followed up the usual post match whistling tune with 7 Nation Army.

I know we have done the reasons as to why people leave early at a match but Saturday beggared belief. It wasn't the usual stampede but still, with 5 or so minutes left + stoppage time of such a pulsating game I just couldn't get my head around how anybody could leave with so much at stake.  The only comparison I can make is "quite enjoyed the build up, but I'm not fussed about waiting for the orgasm".

The team deserved their applause at the end, it felt like 'we're all in it together' which of course we are.

I think 7 Nation Army would be a good song to come out to actually.
