I think in the cold light of day there is nothing wrong with us accepting that we were fucking lucky to go in level at half time, the goal came from pretty much the only attack of note we mustered. Great fight in the second half mind.

That's how QPR have been playing the last few weeks, the 'All or Bust' attitude.
It didn't work, as Guzan was in fantastic form (unlucky with both goals)
We rode our luck in the first half and rode out the storm.
We deserved our win.
We were brilliant  :)

Fantastic and much needed win yesterday. Like a few people have said, if we stay up then it will be largely because of Guzan, he was immense again yesterday. Lambert has rightly took some stick this season but the decision not only to re-sign him but play him has been spot on. As for the others, everyone played their part, although if i'm being overly harsh i thought Gabby gave the ball away a lot in the first half.

The ref was diabolical. The one that did it for me was the free kick in the first half. It was a foul but the player managed to stay on his feet and get a shot on goal, but he still pulled it back and booked our player. The fact that he failed to do the same when the same thing happened to our players said it all.

It really irritates me how people add up chances and say 'we could have been x goals up'. If one goes in the game plays out differently and the other chances don't happen the same way. If Samba scores the header there is no corner and, therefore, no 2nd save to make. You can't have both goals in your tally of 'what might have happened'.

The write-up for the game in The Times is making the victory all the sweeter this morning!

'QPR manager Harry Redknapp's irritation was obvious and understandable after his side battled so hard and ended up with nothing. "Their last goal was a s*** goal," he seethed later.'

Ha ha ha!!

FUCKING YES!

After having my phone nicked in Moscow last night, that's great news. Well done to the lads, showing some real guts now.

Would that be the one where our "young and hungry" (there, I've said it!) strikers outmuscled their "don't really give a shit" defenders? Ingracious and disrespectful to the last

Exactly that. No phone-swiping Muscovite wanker is going to get me down after a result like that.

A very good second half performance yesterday but to be realistic there are too many games to play for all of the clubs involved in the relegation struggle for anybody to make a judgement on who will go down.

Anybody could go down including us.

The first half apart from Guzan we were poor in the main. Lambert needs to sort out these one half good one half bad performances they happen too often.

Even if we beat Liverpool its still the same we have to acheive a level of consistency for the run in.

And the left back position is still a major problem. Enda Stevens seems to have disappeared. I thought he was our best bet . Others ,of course, will have a different opinion.

You are right, we're still in it, but its largely in our hands still and god forbid we looked to have turned a corner.

I've always thought we'll be safe even if it goes down to the last game and it could still definitely. We've battled through the last few weeks though and I still think that despite the results against city and arsenal they had enough to take from the 2 performances to give them confidence for reading and qpr.

What a lovely thought if both Waxyface and MON end up being relegated, shame for Sunderland though

Our vedict on yesterday's match has been posted. See what you think:

"It’s a suicidal thing for a writer to admit, but I don’t know what to say that will do justice to the events at Villa Park this afternoon. Most football matches have a narrative and some sort of sub-plot. When all the elements surrounding the ninety five minutes of insanity we saw today are scribbled down, Aston Villa’s quest for three precious points becomes Tolkien-esque..."

Good comments clamps, it was a great win even though highly nerve jangling - i can prepare to enter hospital on Tuesday for my operation in a happy mood and this win has lifted my spirits immensely.
