Bennett came back well after his mistake in fairness to him.

Agree.

Set up Weimann

Vlaar made a specific point in thanking Bennett's contribution as he passed him on the way back for the kickoff.

Fuck me, that was a truly amazing save from Samba's header at 0-0.

Absolutely top drawer.

Fucking brilliant.

A big thumbs up to Guzan and Gabby who worked his bollocks off.

Apart from the last 5 minutes, it was a great game to watch.

The atmosphere was also superb, so the crowd get MOTM.

2 wins on the bounce, which might explain my nosebleed.

As a bonus I had £4 on us to win 3-2 at 28-1.

First half, the less said the better.

Second half, we played very well. Gabby and Weimann played wide, we moved the ball quicker and took the game to them. This is when we've looked best all season.

The rest of the season should involve us attacking teams.

All played well 2nd half, but Guzan throughout, and credit to him for keeping us in it.

Westwood should/could go onto better things than us. Love his passing and ability to take the ball and move it on despite great pressure on him.

COME ON!!!!!!!

Best game if the season.

Just proves how little he's seen him play to warrant an opinion on him. The one thing Weimann definitely is, is a natural finisher.
Armfield should really do his homework first.

I didn't think Sylla was off the pace at all, I thought he was very good.
Agree Paul.
Thought he did the simple things well and was (football cliche) tidy.

I think Sylla has, and I'm genuinely surprised, really, made a pretty good impact into our midfield - two games he's played, and we have been much better in possession
You could argue that is more to do with Bannan's return to the the line up.

That's a fair point, too. So perhaps he should keep his place ahead of Delph - it would be interesting to see how his passing stats are - I see Westwood clocked up a 97% accuracy in his today!
As I have said earlier, Westwood and Bannan are far too similar for me. It should generally be one or the other. Delph just adds a little more bite which is why I think he should come straight back in. I'd prefer Westwood over Bannan if just for the reason that his set-piece delivery isn't as bad as Bannans. It's one thing that I still can't get my head around. Floated corners have acheived nothing all season, so why doesn't PL tell them to start whipping them in?

As i've said before, it will be the front line of Benteke, Bent, Weimann, Gabby and N'Zogbia that will keep us up.

Westwood aside, our midfield is ordinary.

The defence is a serious problem.

Just home from the game.  That really was the Thrilla at the Villa.   Great entertainment, great atmosphere, great win.  The only thing I would change would be the choice of MOTM.   Brad Guzan's early saves were breathtaking and saved us from almost certain defeat.   I do not agree with much Lambert says but I do agree with him that we have the best goalkeeper in the Premiership.
