Disagree brontebilly. Bannan and Westwood played at a pretty similar level today. Both pretty good in possession. Neither offer much protection for the defence. It's pretty embarressing how opposition players can just jog to the edge of our area without any meaningful attempt to dispossess them. That's why I would prefer Sylla to sit deeper.

Think I read in the pre-match thread that the last time we beat a Redknapp team was when Milan Baros scored the winner in a 1-0 win against Portsmouth before they went on a run of games to survive. Must be about 7/8 years.

I'm guessing that was after the 4-3 at Southampton.

Highlights for me were;
Showing heart and coming back from behind again.
Scoring against the run of play at a vital time, we don't do enough of that.
Bannan and Westwood excellent on the ball, really pleased bannan didn't let his head drop.
Weimans energy and finishing ability seems to have returned.
Gabby is coming back into form at the right time.
Charlie contributing again, he's unlucky not to be starting but is making the difference.
Guzan---immense. As good as any keeper in the division

Well that was a real test for the blood pressure. Massive 3 points. I predicted us to win 3-2 in the pre-match thread and them to hit the bar with the last kick of the game - how close that last shot of theirs was I still don't know. Glad Taraabt didn't start for them - looks real class.Thought Baby Brad kept us in it in the first half with a couple of truly outstanding saves; Gabby nicking a goal against the run of play on the stroke of half time was a huge turning point and we played better in the second half; Weimann deservedly got man of the match (had to be him or Brad) - great exchange of passes for his goal and fantastic persistence for setting up Benteke; the ref was a complete twat and had clearly had an exchange of brown envelopes with Redknob prior to the game; and the best atmosphere in the Holte for years. My head's still spinning

I thought he looked pretty good in his last few games. There had been a vast improvement in his performances of late....in my opinion.

Just seen that Lawro's prediction league has QPR 6th in the table...

As for Taarabt, he's exactly the kind of player who causes us trouble just by taking up central positions and waiting for one/both of our midfielders to go awol or be let down by a poor pass. Zamora influenced the first half in exactly the same way, and that was when Sylla was on the pitch.

I think it comes down to lapses of concentration as much as the way Lambert sets up the team.
