Some fairly good stuff in that first half, and two good goals too. Sylla has impressed me, and looks like he can do a more than competent job of screening the defence from midfield - it'll be interesting to see how he gets on against a better set of midfielders. Westwood has also played as well as I've seen him do for a while - maybe thst's the impact of having someone, Sylla, alongside him who can do the dirty work.

Defence looks just as crap as ever, sadly, although Vlaar hasn't done too badly, really. Bannan, though, has been poor. It's a shame, because I actually do think he has a lot of talent and could be a good player, but he just doesn't seem to have the mental side of things sorted.

I reckon we should push on for a third goal. Reading really go for it, and I don't believe our defence will be able to keep them out.

We'll concede again definitely, so we have to score at least one more and not fucking sit back.

We've found a defence worse than ours, and ours is terrible.

Two of my football bets are still looking decent.

Unfortunately, one of them is for us to draw 2-2 with Le Fondre scoring the last goal.

Waiting for my fibre optic broadband so not watching a stream today - radio 5 have live commentary and seems a game that will have more goals in the 2nd half - i fancy a villa 4-2 win.

Same as TonyD: listening to Wigan being 3 up at Everton having to contain my anger in the car with my lad, then hearing those oh so relieving words....FA Cup tie! Phew!

Is anyone else dreading the usual second half patheticness?

And, furthermore, is anyone else so frightened of the thought, they're thinking of going out for an hour instead of watching it?
That's why i refuse to get excited about leading.

The one thing we know is that Reading play to the very end, and the other thing that we are all painfully aware of is that we have found ways to collapse late on. This won't be over until the lads are showered and on the bus. Brace yourselves for a scary second half ride chaps.

I'm going to make myself a cup of coffee so strong that worrying about my then-100 bpm heart rate will outdo my nervousness for this half.
