I think fans travelling ticketless knew they wouldn't get tickets anyway. They will just turn up for the day out.

We have a coach load going for the weekend and quite a few, including me, haven't got a ticket. When I booked up with the coach, I thought that we would get the 5,400 and the allocation might go down to 1 or 2 aways. I'm assuming that quite a few may be in the same boat.

I understand the reasons why Wigan only gave us the league regulation 3,000 tickets originally but if the respective suthorities have agreed to give us an extra 985 tickets why not just give us the whole extra 2,400 tickets, might have been heavy on the resources of the club to get them sold and out before Sunday but i'm sure there are enough Villa fans out there who wanted to go and would have

If they're going for the weekend then fair enough, but i don't see the point in travelling up on the day without a ticket and watching it in a pub, they could do that down here.

Some people might just want to take in the atmosphere? I've got a ticket, but I probably would have gone up regardless

What atmosphere? You'll probably be in a Harvester with loads of kids running round.

Each to their own though.

Having a laugh going up with all their friends? Alot of my mates are going to the match, some aren't. Pre and Post match there will be lots of drinking joking and singing. During the game they'll be in the pub watching the game, having a laugh etc.

As you said, each to their own

Probably because they knew they may not be able to sell them all?  They haven't sold the 985 tickets today despite dropping the criteria.

That surprises me, I thought they'd fly out of the ticket office. I guess now that we're safe and Wigan are down there's less of a clamour to go up there as there would have been if we could have sent them down

Bloke at work is going up with quite a few of his mates, but only 1 of them has a ticket. If they get one they'll go to the game, if not they'll drink in Wigan.

They only dropped it to two aways yesterday (Friday), and they all went soonish. And I don't believe they could be ordered online. Had we just three or four days more notice, I reckon we could've shifted a fair few more.

It went down to one away at 2pm Friday. The phone lines were swamped after that and the last were sold about 3.15.

I'm just happy that I can watch the game without  being cooped up and shitting it and hating it as it gets closer to kick-off.
