Why? Back it up. The silence from people at Villa is deafening. If this was any other club every director, CE, local papers and influential supporters (which Dave is) would be raging at the injustice. We've just rolled over and died. The only real grief in a couple of years was Blackburn away.. Well that pub sold beer to under 18s for 3/4 hours and then cry when the toilets get smashed up. All in all a fuckin disgrace.

And what, pray tell, could Villa do about it? The game's at Wigan, Wigan decided how many tickets we get.

Wigan have given us 3,000 tickets, they don't have to give us any more if they don't want to. That's all there is to say really.

And what exactly should Villa or anyone do? Wigan have given us the number of tickets they are legally required to.

They quite rightly want to have as much of an advantage as possible. I'd be delighted if Villa did the same in their position.

Its a cut and dried case we get behind the goal. Were not half and half on the side. Police in GM deal with up to double away support. I just don't believe Faulkner would fight our corner. I also don't think 3000 went on sale a few must have gone to hangers on. Lastly Dave I genuinely am surprised you don't think its an injustice.

What I think, what you think and what everybody else in the world except the Wigan safety officer thinks is irrelevant. The Premier League says they have to give us 10% or 3,000 tickets, whichever is the lesser. As the DW capacity is 25,138 they are giving us more than they have to. We can make as much fuss as we like, there's nothing that can be done about it.

No it isn't cut and dried. Wigan only have to give us what they are required to, anything else is a bonus. They don't have to give us more just because we want them.

If a match was at VP that could well be an 'us or them' scenario would you prefer

A) We give the away side the minimum we are required to give us as much of an advantage as possible?
B) We give them as many as they want?

A probable relegation decider - quite obvious decision to try and limit the number of opposing fans in and around the ground to kick off after when one set is elated and the other distraut. Step back from all things Villa and its the right decision.

Whilst I agree that Wigan have the right to decide how many tickets to give us, is it true that the PL say it is 10% of the capacity? If that case Man Utd would allocate 7500 tickets to away supporters. I think our allocation for that game was 1800 according to the Villa OS?

10% or 3,000, whichever is least. The first half are returnable, the second half aren't, so if you won't sell them you don't take them.

Everybody knows the away end at Wigan, is behind the goal, and every visiting club this season has been invited to fill it, except us! I dont think that is fair.. we are been punished just because we are in a similiar league position to the home team.

Punished is the wrong word but you're right, that's the reason. Wigan are only doing what's best for them.

When do you draw the line? Mid table clash you can only have a 1000 fans?

You draw the line at selling as many tickets as you want, to whom you want to as long as you keep within the rules.

Teams have to offer 10% of ground capacity up to a maximum of 3K to away teams. Anything above that is the decision of the home club only. So legally Wigan only have to give us 2,500 tickets.

Allocations lower than 10% that are taken by away sides is the decision of the away club.

We would probably give the away club the same amount of tickets we would to any other club, not "chop and change" to our likening.
