Only just noticed that Wigan haven't even taken their full FA Cup Final allocation. Nothing to do with Villa but thought it was a mention.

See Jane's thread somewhere. It may be affected by the fact it is impossible to get back to the North-West of England after the game unless you have a car.

Why would SHA fans get tickets in the Wigan end if they're restricting home ticket sales to NW postcodes?

I didn't realise that Wigan fans were like those of Man United, coming from places like Brent Cross, Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill and Kilburn. ;)

And yet Yanited, who had 230+ arrests last season, more than any club in English football, got allocated 5400 this season.

Its a moronic decision.

This has Dave Whelan's smell all over it. If Man U were there with the title riding on it, do you think you'd have this nonsense?

As he owns the club then yes, he probably has got something to do with such decisions. What's nonsensical about it? They've given us the allocation they have to, we would do exactly the same in their position so let's spare ourselves the double standards and hypocrisy.
They give every other visiting team a 5000 or thereabouts allocation, and then restrict us to 3000, i thinks thats why people are annoyed.

There's a reason why Whelan is doing it though. Apart from financially, it makes perfect sense.

I'd do the same if I was him.

I'd give Villa 20,000 tickets and instruct my players to score own goals, if I was him.

Don't know how desperate some may be to attend the Wigan game but I've been told of someone buying tickets for the Wigan v Swansea game, obtaining a booking history and then been allowed to buy tickets for the Wigan v Villa game. I'm even told the tickets can be posted to a home address in the Midlands! The tickets are in their end, of course. This is something I've been told by a fellow Villa fan so don't shoot the messenger.

So far that's Villa, small heath and Man City fans buying up Wigan tickets.

Can't blame him. If the game was at Villa Park I wouldn't want 5400 away fans getting behind their team. I give them the bare minimum.
Hopefully it won't go to the last game anyway.

Our match against Bradford was quite important. Should we have restricted ticket sales to away fans?

Cup rules are different anyway aren't they?  I'm in the "why would they" camp.  I know it's annoying but they are not breaking any rules and they want to avoid our wonderful away support helping our team more than the 3000 will brilliantly do!  We'd do the same I hope, but it is different as we'd sell VP out for such an important game.  Let's just hope the boys do the business on the pitch before then to make it a non-issue.

The game is a 4pm KO. There's no way noses would be up, dressed and up the motorway in time. We'll probably pass the Masons coach heading up the M6 as we're on our way back celebrating.
