I'm trying to keep up here

so the initial allocation was 3000 and we're just about to sell the last few remaining from that. We are then hoping to get another 2400?

Is that right?

If it is a decider - then Manchester Police only want to give us 3,000 tickets.

If there is nothing on the game - then they will give us the full end.

This seems absolutely ridiculous. We're not bloody Millwall. They police games in stadiums far bigger than the DW every bloody week so what difference does 2k more Villa fans make?

We'll beat Sunderland and Norwich, and Wigan will lose to Spurs, Arsenal and Swansea.

Arsenal and Spurs I'd agree with but Swansea? The same Swansea who in their minds are already on the beach? Can't even remember the last time they won a game. I expect Wigan to win at home to Swansea, I'm also concerned they could get a win at West Brom, who have nothing to play for and would LOVE to see us relegated.

How come Man Utd / Liverpool / Man City etc get the full allocation at Wigan every year, but the police seem concerned about us getting it?

form goes out of the window and its all about momentum. Which, i guess, is form...

Wigan have just lost two games in a row.

i think Sunderland have got it going into Monday's game and will be flying at us from every angle. as we always bloody concede we know that to win a game we have to score 2. one of Sunderland's few strengths is their defence. i think they'll bag a couple and we'll not score.

Wigan, like Coventry before them, have become relegation escapologists. its not that their form will suddenly unexpectedly come good, its just that their previous suggests that they kick into gear around now. lost against Tottenham and it may not be the case this season.

if we lose against Sunderland then I think we'll become very jittery. We won 3 games recently on the back of good attacking play. if we lose any of that then our position means that we could go into a sluump due to age/experience/nerves.

Yes keep bringing my points prediction up. But you may as well bring everyone's up who aren't spot on at this point, then. i said we'll go down, I think we'll go down, fulham was a huge opportunity wasted and ultimately those 2 points could have been huge.

they've gone as I suspect we will.

So, it's all about momentum, except for Wigan?

And is 'kicking into gear about now' the same as their form suddenly coming good?

They're like Coventry though don't forget, who play in, erm, the 3rd division.

The police haven't said anything yet, and on the subject of ticket allocations rarely do.

The only times I can think of our allocation being reduced in recent years were at the Sty on police advice in January 2011 and at Sunderland by their safety committee, we and a number of other clubs, were targeted for persistent standing.

Yet Manure invade our pitch every year and we never even write them a nasty letter.

There are lots of people still after tickets. Wigan would be nuts to close the lights at a 3000 allocation.

I can see one of those days when the place gets taken over with Brummies like Weston on bank holiday weekend.

The tougher it becomes to get a ticket then the more issues there could be outside. Sense should prevail I hope.

God help them if we have half again locked outside or in the home end and they have held back on flogging us the necessary tickets.

Anyway, does anyone have a spare 21 tickets for the Wigan match?

Wigan are restricting home tickets, no doubt to those with a booking reference.

Where have people got it from that the Met are reducing our allocation?

Direct from the Police on Monday night. 3000 max if it is possible for us to go down.
It is always possible that it gets amended but that is how it was.

Got my ticket this morning after hitting redial for nearly an hour! I suspect it's going to be quite a day at Wigan. We've not had a last day of the season win or bust scenario in my lifetime so it's about time we did.

Prefer not big dick- i would be happier going there having relegated them a couple of hours before their cup final .
