What people are forgetting is QPR are at Liverpool the same day. It's only 20 miles away.
Both teams could be playing to stay up.No way will GMP let us have 5,000 tickets.

What's QPR being at Liverpool got to do with anything?  Different city, different police force.

Why would Wigan give us 5,400 tickets for this?

Their away end holds that number.
And they will want a sell out for their last game in the Premier League!

ATT was 20,612 at the time their highest of the season
Previous home game Everton 18,340
Prior to that Man City 16,026

Villa ARE a big club.

If we have to say it, are we?

Do you think it could happens.

Say Wigan survived relegation and Aston Villa need 3 points to guarantee survival, do you think there will be some undercover deal say, let us win this game, and we will buy your player for 9 millions pounds in June or have this player for 2 millions pounds.

That would put us on a par with Rangers OldCo and Juventus. We're better than that. I hope.

They've already had £13 million off us for N'Zogbia and Heskey. How much more do they need?

Indeed, call those buys a pre-emptive insurance premium.

For those tempted to buy tickets for home sections of the stadium (Wigan) be warned that the stewards are under strict instructions to remove away fans from those areas.

There will be no clamour for tickets.  We will be down by then and as a result demand will barely satisfy supply.

Is that a Mercury headline?

"Villa fans in deviant swinging shocker"
